What is The Regional Interagency Consumer Committee (RICC)?

The Developmental Disabilities Council maintains a series of groups across the state that work to promote the Councils’ interests in communities. The Regional Interagency Consumer Committee (RICC) also works to facilitate support services to people with developmental disabilities in their communities. These active groups are comprised of people with disabilities, family members, advocates and service professionals among their members.

Currently, there are 50 counties in Michigan represented by a RICC. RICC activities supported by the Developmental Disabilities Council objectives include community living, education, and employment. A certified RICC receives annual grants for operating expenses.
